Course Notes:All painting materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you like. Previous attendees are welcome to attend to refresh their techniques and learn some new ones as well. Room 184. One hour lunch break.
Instructor:Key Sun learned traditional Chinese style painting from several artists in Beijing, where he grew up. He has taught Chinese brush painting at Pierce College, Everett Community College, Evergreen State College and the University of Washington Women’s Center. In addition to displaying his works at juried exhibitions, he has a painting in a collection at Rutgers University.
Dr. Sun holds a PhD in psychology, a master’s degree in social work and law degrees. His publications have appeared in American Psychologist, New Times, Tai Chi magazine, The Journal of Traditional Eastern Health and Fitness and other academic journals involving such issues as Taoist psychology, I Ching, Tai Chi, correctional counseling and social cognition.
